Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the developer ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Perfect Circle Multiplayer mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Player name: optional name entered for leaderboard display.
• Bug reports: if you tap "Report a Bug," the description text you enter plus your device user-agent string is sent to our servers to help us fix issues.

Information collected automatically

• Gameplay data: drawn circle paths, scores, attempt counts, and session timing — used to compute scores, populate leaderboards, and power replay features.
• Device identifiers: a random anonymous identifier is generated on first launch to distinguish scores submitted from the same device.
• Advertising identifier (IDFA): if you grant App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission, Apple's IDFA is shared with Google AdMob to serve personalized ads. If you decline, you still see non-personalized ads.
• Diagnostic data: basic crash and performance data via Apple's built-in crash reporting.

2. How We Use Information

• Operate and display leaderboards, replays, and scoring
• Sync your progress across your own devices via iCloud (see Section 4)
• Show and measure advertisements via Google AdMob
• Process in-app purchases via Apple StoreKit
• Diagnose bugs you report and improve stability

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for any purpose beyond operating the App and supporting the service.

3. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. AdMob's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can opt out of personalized ads by declining the ATT prompt on first launch or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Apple App Store / StoreKit

In-app purchases (such as "Remove Ads") are processed by Apple. Apple handles payment information directly — we never see your credit card or financial details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Convex (backend infrastructure)

Leaderboard scores, replays, bug reports, and anonymous device IDs are stored on Convex, our backend provider. See Convex's Privacy Policy.

4. iCloud Sync

If you are signed into iCloud, your player name, best score, option preferences, and progress counts are automatically synchronized across your devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us. You can disable this in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.

5. Data Retention

Leaderboard scores and replays are retained indefinitely unless you contact us to request deletion. Bug reports are retained for up to 12 months. Anonymous device IDs persist until you delete the App and reinstall, or contact us for removal.

6. Your Privacy Rights

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect about you
• Delete the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information, but AdMob's cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered "sharing" under CPRA — you can opt out via the ATT prompt)
• Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently if you exercise your rights

European Union residents (GDPR)

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the right to:

• Access a copy of your personal data
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time (for ad personalization, use Google's UMP consent reset in the App or iOS Settings)
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Our legal basis for processing is your consent (for personalized ads and analytics) and legitimate interest (for basic operation and leaderboards).

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Perfect Circle Multiplayer is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls, secure cloud providers) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States. If you are outside the US, your data is transferred under standard safeguards used by our service providers (Apple, Google, Convex).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes here and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the App.
